Well, on settings we only have two options to Languages: Polish & English.
maybe you could add more options for languages, spanish,portuguese, klingon (tlhIngan Hol)

Well, on settings we only have two options to Languages: Polish & English. I think it was discussed somewhere here http://wallbase.cc/forum/topic/513 I want to write a translator panel for wb. That way any new change to the site language files can be propagated easily by the translators to their languages.

could you add another feature to the uploading page, at the moment if you forget to tag a wallpaper it currently comes up with a message saying to tag all your walls, but then you have to go searching for the one wall you didn't tag. At the moment the green around the tagged wall isn't easy enough to differentiate from. So instead couldn't you just make it put a red box or something around the wallpaper you didn't tag to make it easier to find?

hey, when I go to Favorites 'Open full view', and i want to move a lot of pictures to another folder, i have to do it one by one,
why just add one checkbox in every wallpaper, so i can move how many I want?

These all sound great and I look forward to it, but I have a problem with the wallpaper voting idea. This might cause some "controversial" walls like... I dunno, gays kissing, atheist quotes? Whatever offends people, they might spam it with down-votes. At the same time, though, the idea might be useful for marking out bad quality images for deletion, so instead of one person hitting the big cross button, several users would mark it as crap so a mod might trust it more.
A dupe checker will be very useful, checking for different resolutions, but I thought it would just delete smaller versions (of the same quality of course) instead of displaying links to other versions, to help clean up the database with its countless clones. It's still better than nothing. I know you (Yotoon) and some other folks were going to go off and think it over (I haven't checked the thread I started for a while now) but what about a revamped tagging system? Is that likely to happen sometime, and if so any ideas what kind of form it will take?

I don't know if it is possible, but maybe you can add "sub-folders" to favorites/uploads
Example : I create an folder on favorites called "Photography" and the sub-folders named "animals , landscapes, cityscapes , objects , etc" would be very useful

 Cornelius Funk. Doesn't fav'ing a wall count as an upvote; and marking for deletion (which is reviewed by admin/mod) count as a downvote? Do we really need any voting beyond that?One suggestion I want to make is, take away the privilege of admins to feature walls and instead feature the top 10 or 20 in 1 day toplist. quite frankly, this power is being misused quite a lot with mediocre walls being featured on whim.

I also dislike the idea of wallpaper votes. I think it's alright with the favorites count and the deletion button.
And before v4 comes, I think (I don't say it does though, it's just what I think) the "alert" icon on thumbnails in the favorites full view is not explicit enough. What about a message appearing under it when you point your mouse on it? Or even add that icon on favorites in profiles? Other than that, good ideas, generally...

How about slideshow for favorites and some thingy for category modification (hate those who categorize manga as HR etc.)

So I was right. 
maybe, maybe not. when did it start? i hadn't gone to the full view for a few days. the icon should appear without the hover also, i think. would be more noticeable. now i had to hover over each thumb to see whether it had the icon or not.

well we are talking about the same feature. i might be wrong about the hover because it was there on only 1 wall and i didn't look too close. i never noticed it before though.

That's the load time because no "v" is displayed, but yes, it seems WB does have a site version, like most complex ones do.

I have a question - won't wallpaper ratings duplicate already existing characteristics like number of favourites, views or popularity? After all they do exactly the same thing - indicate which wallpapers community likes the most. And it's one more thing susceptible to abuse, especially when there aren't many votes on a particular picture. Instead, it would be nice add more flexibility to browsing. Like to be able to combine existing filters (to use more than only one of them) with span of time when wallpapers were uploaded. |
