Also, I have two more (small) requests, if that's OK:

1. Could the coloured words be in bold? So it looks more like the original?

2. Would it be possible to get some sort of texturing on the wallpaper? Just so that it's not boring white and text only? I have no artistic talent, so I don't know what to suggest.

@AbstractArt: Ideally, yes. And perhaps also something for the white, a very minimal texture - just to make it a little more 'interesting' or stylised... I dunno.

I was also wondering if it's possible to have a little bit more of a gap between the lines... the bold/coloured words seems too close to one another.

As regards a pattern, I can't decide between these 3:

1920x1200

1920x1200

1920x1080

They're all black, so I took UAMan's PSD and tried these 3 patterns behind the text after using the Invert function to get it to a 'white-ish' look.

I also tried to darken the text a little bit, so it stood out some more against the light background. This is about as far as my photoshop skills stretch

I have NO artistic talent, so if there is someone who has a suggestion as to which is best, that would be great! Haha. Or if there is some other pattern that might be better.

Also, is it possible to get 1. the coloured words in bold; and 2. the lines a little bit more separated? They seem a bit close.

So I made the coloured text a little bolder, and also increased the spacing a bit between all the words.

I made the grey text a little darker too, so it would stand out against a light background.

I then applied two of the three backgrounds from my post above:

Which one do you guys think is better?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be improved/made better?

Also, some of the coloured words don't stand out much with a light background. E.g. the word "WORRY". Does anyone have any suggestions on how this could be made to stand out more?

My Photoshop skills are only very basic - and I have no artistic flair at all!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

personally I defiantly prefer the first one, I think the more subtle background makes the text stand out more,
Also try and stay away from such a bright yellow as it is quite hard to read.
Also the colours are working through a pallet and I don't think "network" and "work" fit in as well as the others.
Other than that it looks great

@enormhi: Yes, I deleted, them. I'm going to make one final amendment and then upload them when I get back from class today!

@ koalafishy: Nice idea! I would recommend:

1. Having the "Dalai" and "Lama" in the shape of eyes

2. Having the other text in the shape of a mouth.

With 1 and 2, I'm not sure what the technical term is, but there's a way of getting text to fit into shapes... like so: [URLhttp://www.antonemdin.com/images/portfolio/be_natural_press.jpg[/URL].

Or perhaps instead of eyes and a mouth, you could have the Dalai Lama's face?

I know there's a wallpaper on here with Obama's face and made up of many words.
